Traffic, power to be blocked at Barasat stn on Dec 15 & 16

Kolkata: Construction of a pedestrian subway in place of the level-crossing gate at Barasat station will lead to traffic and power block on December 15 and 16 in the Sealdah-Barasat section for over 20 hours.

Consequently, Sealdah-Barasat bound Up & Down trains will short terminate/originate at Madhyamgram station platform No.2 as special trains during the block period and out of 112 EMU services, 46 trains will remain active.

Bangaon-Barasat bound Up & Down trains will short terminate/originate at Barasat station platform No.5 as special trains and out of 100 EMU services, 25 trains will be active.

Hasnabad-Barasat bound trains will also short terminate/originate at platform No.5 as special trains and out of 40 EMU services, 15 trains will remain active.
