Tanmay Ray Chowdhury is new Howrah Commissioner

Kolkata: In a reshuffle in the IPS cadre in Bengal, Commissioner of Police of Howrah and Siliguri Police Commissionerate have been changed.

Tanmay Ray Chowdhury is the new Commissioner of the Howrah City Police replacing Devendra Prakash Singh, who has been made the DIG of Midnapore Range. Chowdhury will also supervise Howrah (Rural) as Range DIG.

Bharat Lal Meena, who was

DIG Presidency Range, has become the Commissioner of Siliguri

Police Commissionerate in the rank of DIG.

Bastab Baidya, DIG Midnapore Range, has become the new DIG of Murshidabad Range.

Pranav Kumar, who was DIG Murshidabad Range, has become DIG of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Sunil Kumar Choudhury has become DIG Presidency Range. He was earlier posted as Commissioner of the Siliguri Police Commissionerate.
