Smoke seen coming out from Siliguri bound train

Kolkata: There was panic after smoke was seen coming out of an AC chair car coach of 12042 Dn New Jalpaiguri- Howrah Shatabdi Express on Tuesday afternoon.
The train was detained at Masagram from 1.40 pm to 3.37 pm. The third coach from the engine was affected. The smoke was seen at about 1.33 pm when the train was running between Palla Road and Masagram stations of Barddhaman-Howrah Chord Line section .
The train was immediately controlled at Masagram, arrangement was made for detachment of the coach as a safety measure and passengers were accommodated in other coaches. The train finally left at 3.37 pm.
