Damayanti Sen back in Kolkata Police as Addl CP

Kolkata: In a major reshuffle of five IPS officers, Inspector General (IG), Administration, Damayanti Sen has been posted as the Additional Commissioner of Police (CP) III in Kolkata Police.

On Monday, an order was published where Additional Director General (ADG), CIF, Siddh Nath Gupta has been directed to supervise all the issues arising out of matters related to the international borders of Bengal with Nepal and Bhutan, along with state borders with Assam in Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Cooch Behar, Alipurduar police districts and Siliguri Police Commissionerate. Gupta will report to Director General of Police (DG) Virendra regarding the same.

Apart from this, Supratim Sarkar has been made the Additional CP IV. Earlier, he was holding the post of Additional CP III. Ashok Kumar Prasad, who was the Additional CP IV, has been made IG, Darjeeling.

Also Amit P Javalgi, who was posted as Deputy Commissioner (DC), Headquarters (HQs) in Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate, has been asked to continue in his previous posting as Special Superintendent (SS) in Intelligence Branch (IB).

Lastly, Sunil Kumar Yadav, who was the DC HQs in Howrah Police Commissionerate, has been made the Superintendent of Police in Special Task Force, West Bengal. MPOST
