CM to lay foundation stone of new HC complex

Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be laying the foundation stone of the new complex of Calcutta High Court at New Town on Wednesday.
The Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court Justice Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya will be present at the foundation stone laying programme. The programme will be held at around 5 pm on Wednesday.
It may be mentioned that the state government has
given 10 acres of land in New Town to Calcutta High Court for construction of the new campus.
The decision to give the land was taken in the cabinet meeting headed by the Chief Minister in the beginning of July. The land worth around Rs 203 crore was given to the High Court at Re 1.
