CM receives invitations from foreign countries

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has received invitation for trips to several foreign countries in the current calendar year. She received an invitation to visit Katowice City in Poland to attend the European Economic Congress. The ninth European Economic Congress is scheduled to be held between May 10 to 12.

It has been learnt that a delegation from Poland came to the state secretariat, Nabanna and invited the Chief Minister to be present in the ninth European Economic Congress. Banerjee has accepted the invitation.

On Monday, an Australian delegation met the Chief Minister. The delegation led by Australian High Commissioner to India Harinder Sidhu met the Chief Minister. He invited her to visit Australia and also appreciated the steps she had taken for the development of Bengal.The Chief Minister has also received an invitation to attend a business summit in Russia.

In 2016, the Chief Minister visited Italy and Germany. She talked to industrialists of both the countries. A state delegation led by the Finance minister Amit Mitra visited BMW plant in Stuttgart. Earlier, she had gone to Singapore and met a business delegation there.

Several entrepreneurs from abroad had visited the Bengal Global Business Summit that was held in January 2016.
