Balurghat celebrates 2-day 'Ekatai Sampriti' programme

BALURGHAT: 'Ekatai Sampriti' programme was inaugurated at Balurghat high school ground on Friday. The programme was inaugurated by South Dinajpur district magistrate Deepap Priya P at 4 pm. The programme will be continue till November 18.

While inaugurating the programme, Deepap Priya P said: "Through this programme we are spreading the message of unity, harmony and integration. The state government has already undertaken many development projects for the people of our state. This programme will help us deliver a positive message. We also do invite people to take part in it in large numbers."

Around 15 stalls have been set up by 17 individual state government departments.

Notably, the organiser of the programme has arranged various interesting cultural programme to sensitise people.

Reputed singers, bachick artists and gambhira artists from Kolkata apart from the district will take part in the three-day festival.

The Mamata Banerjee government after coming to power in 2011 has organised many such programmes in a bid to strike a close connection with among people and to aware them about numerous development projects undertaken by the government. 'Development and only Development' is the motto behind organising such programmes. 'Ekatai Sampriti' is one of those one.

Additional district magistrate (general) Krittibas Nayak, ADM (development) Mrinmay Biswas, ADM (LR) Pranab Kumar Ghosh, Sub-divisional Magistrate Isha Mukherjee, Public Prosecutor Subhas Chaki, NBSTC director Biplab Khan along with many dignitaries were present at the programme.
