Abhishek urges people to turn Mamata's dream of winning all 42 LS seats into reality

Kulgachia (Howrah): Abhishek Banerjee, All India Trinamool Youth Congress president and party MP, has urged people to fulfill Mamata Banerjee's dream of winning 42 out of 42 Lok Sabha seats in the forthcoming election. He was addressing a rally here on Thursday afternoon.

Banerjee said people are fed up with the BJP government because of their "systematic and consistent lies". "Before 2014 Lok Sabha election Narendra Modi had assured that 'acche din ayenge' (good days will come). We have all seen what has happened to the country in the past four and a half years. In the name of note ban, common people were harassed. People lost jobs and public money was looted," Banerjee said.

Raising the issue of former Trinamool Congress MP Saumitra Khan joining BJP, Banerjee said: "It is really interesting to note that BJP accepts the ones we have rejected. We have sacked Khan from our party and now BJP has given him a platform."

He said the rally on January 19 at Brigade parade ground will be a historic one and all the national leaders will come to strengthen the hand of Mamata Banerjee, who had first spoken about the Federal Front. He urged the people to attend the rally on January 19.

"She will give us the roadmap which we will follow in the Lok Sabha election. It is Mamata Banerjee's dream to win 42 out of 42 seats in Lok Sabha and we should work hard to fulfill it," he added.

He cautioned people against BJP's divisive politics. "BJP wants to divide the society and we should not fall into their trap. We believe that Hinduism is humanism and we follow the path of Swami Vivekananda," Banerjee said.
