Julia Roberts cuts $ 8 million from Hawaiian home sale

Oscar-winning actor Julia Roberts has slashed USD 8 million off the asking price of her beachfront Hawaii home after struggling to offload the property.

The Pretty Woman star, 48, and her husband, Danny Moder, scored a bargain when they purchased the historic seven-bedroom Faye Estate in the exclusive Hanalei Bay area of Kauai for $ 14 million (9.8 million), well below market value, in 2011. last April, they attempted to cash in by placing it on the market for $ 30 million.

The house, which boasts mountain and sea views, failed to sell, despite an initial price reduction, and now the couple has lowered the cost once more to just under $ 22 million. Julia and Danny, who primarily split their time between their residences in Malibu, California and a ranch in New Mexico, are currently renting out the pad for $ 1,500, until they are able to find a suitable buyer.
