Jesus and Mary aspirants confused over misleading second cut-off list

With the release of the second cut-off list on Monday night, the applicants queued up to secure their seats in DU’s various colleges but most of the applicants who were up to grab the seats in JMC were stunned after seeing misguiding admission list on the college website.

Nidhi Sharma, an aspirant, who rushed to college early Tuesday morning to take admission in BA Programme, said: “I was shocked and confused when I saw that in the cut-off list instead of marks percentage, ‘varied’ was written. When I approached the college administration, they did not respond properly and several of them were confused over the issue.”

Besides, BA programme, the mistake was found in B Com (Honours), B Com, Hindi (Honours) and Political Science (Honours). The college has already closed admission in many subjects including Economics (Honours), English (Honours), History (Honours) and B Sc Mathematics (Honours).

Despite giving assurance that the college would join the centralised admission system of DU, JMC did not send its cut-off to DU.However, the college administration was mum on the issue and despite repeated calls, did not respond.

While commenting on the matter, one of the Admission Officials of DU, Sunaian, said: “I am not aware of any such discrepancy.” The admission official was also not aware whether the JMC had sent its cut-off list to DU.
