IP University starts drive against touts

Having learnt a lesson from past experiences, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University) has decided to start a drive against touts and middlemen during the counselling sessions.

The university has put up a dozen banners in canteens, information counters, counselling venues, and bank alerting the students of the presence of touts. Security guards of the university have been instructed to keep an eye on suspects. Also, this time round, verification of documents of qualified candidates is being made separately to make counselling foolproof.

The counselling session for this academic year (MBA) has just started. Around 1.65 lakh candidates usually appear for CETs for various programmes of the university every year.
