Indian Navy today beat Indian Air Force 3-0 in the finals of the 68th Inter Services Football Championship 2016-17 at the naval base here.
It is the sixth time that Indian Navy has emerged victors. They were champions last year also, when they defeated Army Red team 1-0.
Rear Admiral R J Nadkarni, Chief of Staff, Southern Naval Command, who was the chief guest, presented the Services Football Trophy for the year to the winners.
He gave away the medals to the team members of the winners and runners-up.
Indian Navy, Army Red, Army Green and Indian Air Force teams participated in the four-day long championship conducted by Signal School under the aegis of the Southern Naval Command at Naval base.
A group of 30 players were also selected out of which the Services team for Santosh trophy 2017 will be finalised.
