India declare at 377/5, set NZ 434 runs to win

India, thus, set a target of 434 runs for New Zealand to win the match and take early lead in the three-Test series.

Rohit Sharma was batting on 68 while Ravindra Jadeja was 50 not out as India played 107.3 overs in their second essay.

For Zealand Mitchell Santner (2/79) and Ish Sodhi (2/99) picked up two wickets apiece.
