IIIT-A dismisses prof accused of sexual harassment

The allegations were levelled by an M.Tech student in May last year who also later lodged an FIR at Dhoomanganj police station of the city.
The professor was out of <g data-gr-id="16">station</g> when the FIR was <g data-gr-id="18">lodged</g> but he surrendered before <g data-gr-id="17">police</g> in July and was sent to jail. Mishra said the decision to dismiss the faculty member was taken after the probe panel set up by the institute did not receive a satisfactory reply to its numerous notices sent to the associate professor.
