I don’t care about missing out on normal childhood: Selena Gomez

Singer-actor Selena Gomez has refused to complain about her life in the spotlight because she chose it. Gomez, 23, said it has often been difficult to navigate life in the public eye, reported Us magazine.
“I didn’t have an opportunity to figure out my life without people having an opinion every step of the way,” she said.
“(But), I chose this. So I’m not gonna sit here and say, ‘Oh, my God, poor me, I didn’t have a normal childhood.’ I don’t care about that.” The singer recently explained that early on in her career her image was very guarded, but she has learned to be more open and raw. “I think the beginning of my career, it was very tailored. Sharing the vulnerable, raw, messy side wasn’t necessarily encouraged. I think the definition of strength is being vulnerable and being honest.”
Achieving any real growth impossible without inclusiveness:...
