HIDCO to arrange big screen for Indo-Pak T-20 at Café Ekante

Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO) will make special arrangements for cricket lovers to celebrate the visit of Pakistan cricket team to the city at Café Ekante in New Town on March 19.

A World T-20 match between the two countries will be held at the Eden Gardens on March 19. The last one day international cricket match played between the two countries at Eden

Gardens was on June 3, 2013 when Pakistan cricket team won by 85 runs.

The HIDCO authorities in a meeting on Thursday decided to mark the occasion by installing a large screen at café Ekante. People can come in groups to enjoy the match while enjoying the food. The ambiance in the restaurant will be created in such a way that cricket lovers can enjoy the match up to its brim. Those occupying the rooms in Ekante cottage will also be invited to the restaurant to watch the match. Younger generation prefer to see cricket matches in groups along with their family members and this is the first time Café Ekante is celebrating such an important occasion.

It may be mentioned that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has named the restaurant as Café Ekante while the cottage has been named by her as Ekante cottage.

The restaurant has become quite popular because of the ambiance and the quality of food it serves to the guests.
