Hero Motocorp introduces Duet

With an aim to woo buyers in Eastern India, Hero Motocorp on Monday introduced its new model Duet.

The new 110 cc scooter has been developed on new platforms by the company’s own research and development wing, A Srinivasu, national head sales of the company said in Kolkata on Monday. 

He said that Duet which had a metal body will be appreciated by the users. 

The company that now occupies 52 per cent share in the motorcycle and 20 per cent share in the scooter market in the country has introduced three models, namely, Pleasure in 2006, Maestro in 2012, Maestro H in 2015 October and now, Duet. 

Pleasure is designed uniquely for women.  Maestro and Maestro H have been selling well, he said.  He said that scooters are becoming increasingly popular among the users. 

In Eastern India it is a recent trend to ride scooters because of its stability, affordability and fuel efficiency.

Harish Arora, head of Scooters project said that the machine had been built keeping in mind the requirements of the users.  The Duet comes with a metal body and has important features like telescopic front suspension, external fuel filling, mobile charging point and boot light.
