HC notice to DU, colleges on plea challenging admission process

The Delhi High Court on Friday issued notices to the Delhi University, Hindu and Hansraj colleges and the Kerala government on a plea, challenging the admission process for calculating marks from other state boards. Justice RS Endlaw asked all three to file their responses by July 6 on the plea filed by DU aspirant <g data-gr-id="12">Thabassum</g> <g data-gr-id="13">Ahammad</g> NK, who hailed from Kerala, complaining that each college has different criteria for calculating cut-offs of students from other state boards during the admission process and seeking a uniform system of admission. <g data-gr-id="14">Ahammed's</g> plea said he scored 100 per cent marks in best of four subjects but was denied admission as per DU’s provisions of deducting 10 per cent from his total marks as Kerala State Education Board has a different evaluation pattern from that of CBSE.
