Have done no wrong: Mukul on CBI summons

All India General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP of Trinamool Congress (TMC), Mukul Roy, has been called by the CBI for questioning in connection with the multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam. Speaking to the Millennium Post, Roy, who is in New Delhi, said, “They called me as they wanted to know and discuss something. I will definitely meet them once I reach Kolkata.” When asked to react on the summon, he said, “All, I would like to say that I have never indulged in any corrupt practice and immoral activities ever in my life.”

Meanwhile, in Kolkata, the TMC reacted strongly. “Who is running the CBI? Is it the Prime Minister’s Office or Amit Shah’s office? This is blatant vindictiveness. The so-called summons have not yet reached and BJP honchos are already giving bytes,” said MP Derek O’Brien in a statement.
