Haryana govt sends another consignment of 11,000 tents

Another consignment of 11,000 tents has been sent on Tuesday to Uttarakhand from Haryana  to help the flood effected people. Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in his meeting with Uttarakhand chief minister Vijay Bahuguna at Dehradun recently had said that all necessary help will be provided to Uttarakhand. Besides a large quantity of relief material, a consignment of 25 thousand blankets has already been sent to Uttarakhand.  Additional chief secretary-cum- financial commissioner, Revenue and Disaster Management, Haryana, Krishna Mohan said that tents have been sent on the demand of the Uttarakhand government and the consignment would reach by  evening. He said that according to the reports received from control room set up by Haryana government in Chandigarh, out of the total 1,044 pilgrims stranded in Uttarakhand, 385 have safely reached their homes on Tuesday by 1 pm. In addition, the deputy commissioner, Ghaziabad has also sent 31 pilgrims back to their homes.
