Gwen Stefani to perform at White House

Singer Gwen Stefani is set to perform at the White House for President Obama and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.

The visiting dignitary and his wife, Agnese Landini, will be serenaded by the 47-year-old ‘Don’t Speak’ singer following an Italian-style dinner prepared by chef Mario Batali on October 18.

The event will be one of Obama’s last state affairs as President, according to The Washington Post.

US White House press secretary Josh Earnest calls the dinner “an opportunity to recognise the depth and breadth of our relationship with Italy and exchange views on the future of Europe.” Fans of Gwen, who have roots in Italy, will be able to watch her performance at the White House online.
