Govt mulls entry tax waiver on trucks with essentials
The Delhi government is reportedly planning to waive off entry tax on trucks carrying vegetables and essential items in the city till November 24. According to sources, the proposal has been sent to the LG for his approval.
The decision, according to sources, has been taken to prevent shortage of vegetables and essential commodities in the city as arrival of trucks has decreased due to demonetisation. Presently, vehicles entering in the city are charged from Rs 20 to Rs 100 per trip.
