Girl jumps to death after jilted lover circulates obscene pics

Enraged over the pictures, the minor girl was scolded by her father and sources added that her family had even lodged a complaint with the police regarding the same. Depressed over this incident, the girl took the extreme step, said sources.

Sources, meanwhile, added that the father of the girl, a Sub-Inspector with the Uttar Pradesh Police has been called for questioning at the Anand Vihar police station where probe has been initiated under Section 174 of the CrPC (Inquest Proceedings). Police said that they are questioning the girl’s friends and other family members.

According to the police, the incident took place at around 7:30 pm at the Cross River Mall when a girl allegedly jumped from the third floor of the mall. Police had found a suicide note from the possession of the deceased, addressed to her parents in which she mentioned that she was sorry for what she is doing.

Sources said that before jumping from the third floor of the busy mall, the girl had allegedly consumed rat poison and phenyl. Police said that they have sent the girl’s body for post-mortem. 

They are awaiting her post-mortem reports to establish if she had consumed rat poison and phenyl.

Police, meanwhile, said that they have started investigation in the matter. Cops are verifying if indeed the jilted lover had sent pictures on the mobile phone of the girl’s father. Based on which, appropriate action will be taken against the lover. Further investigation is underway.
