Girl bunks school, stages kidnapping drama

A 15-year-old school girl, who had allegedly bunked her school, was spotted by a CISF officer in an inebriated state, at Akshardham metro station on Tuesday evening.  The girl however alleged that she was kidnapped on Tuesday morning in an SUV while she was on her way to school.

The girl was discovered by a head constable of Central Industrial Security Force who was on his surveillance duty at Akshardham metro station.

He noticed a girl who was under the influence of alcohol. After 30 minutes counselling by CISF,
she narrated her ordeal to them. The girl told CISF that she was forcibly pushed into a Scorpio and was forced to consume alcohol by them.

‘They kept her in the car the entire day and then dropped her outside Akshardham metro station in the evening’, said a CISF officer quoting the girl. Sources in Delhi police have ruled out the kidnapping allegations. ‘It was a fabricated story framed by the minor girl.’

Further, it was learnt that a missing complaint for the girl was filed at Vasant Kunj police station by her parents after she didn’t return home till evening.

Speaking to Millennium Post, a police official close to investigation said: ‘The girl was never kidnapped. The CCTV footage shows that she was travelling in metro with another girl and a boy, who have been identified. We will question them to find out what exactly happened.’

The officer also added that in the CCTV footage, the girl was seen exiting the Akshardham metro station in school uniform. Further investigation is underway, the officer added.
