Gail conducts mock gas leakage drill

As part of the offsite emergency drill, a mock scenario of gas leakage and subsequent fire was developed in Noida in 8 pipeline Noida tap-off to Gazipur line to test the efficacy of Disaster Management Plan. 

Evacuation of nearby passers by and public and shifting of causalities to nearby medical centers was effectively coordinated. During the drill, all concerned agencies of Gail, district administration, fire services, NDRF, DMC, NDMA, and IGL actively participated in various defined roles.

The primary objective of the drill was to evaluate and check the efficacy and adequacy of resources to be required during any disaster and promptness of various response teams of Gail and administration and for further improvement in emergency preparedness systems.
