Force India loses 5th spot after double whammy at Hungarian GP

Nico Hulkenberg sufferd a terrible crash while Sergio Perez also retired mid-way into his race as Sahara Force India conceded fifth place to Lotus after returning empty-handed from the dramatic Hungarian Grand Prix, here on Sunday.

Coming into the race, Force India had a four-point lead over Lotus but a no-points show meant that the Indian Formula One team could not add to 39 points in its kitty.

Romain Grosjean finished seventh in his Lotus to earn six points from the race and that pushed his team to fifth with 41 points now. Hulkenberg crahed in lap 42 after a front wing failure while Perez retired in lap 54 after coming to pits.

Hulkenberg lost his front wing on the main straight and impacted at speed with the Turn 1 tyre wall. The German fortunately was unhurt.
