Vidya Balan confesses that after reading the script of Ghanchakkar, she felt it would be the best film for her to enter the comic genre.
Ghanchakkar is also director Raj Kumar Gupta's first light-hearted film after grim and gritty celulloid offerings Aamir and No One Killed Jessica. ‘He (Gupta) was offering me such a different film and I felt this would be the best film as my first comedy,’ the 33-year-old said here Wednesday at a promotional event for the film.
‘While reading the script I felt that it is very interesting and I had never read anything like that. It's about real situations and real people. So, I had to say yes and I am so happy I did,’ added the actress who has teamed up with Gupta for the second time after No One Killed Jessica.
At all Ghanchakkar promotions Vidya dresses like her character Neetu and this one was no different as both, the actress and her co-star Emraan Hashmi, acted like their characters from the movie. Ghanchakkar is a comic-thriller.
