Summer Play Time: Fostering creativity in children

In an endeavor to promote Indian handicrafts, handlooms and the spirit of craftsmanship, CCIC has organized 'Summer Play Time' – a special exhibition cum sale of summer wear and educational craft for children. It will be held in CCIC's showroom at Jawahar Vyapar Bhawan, Janpath until June 10.
The exhibition showcases traditional 'Do it yourself Craft Kits' with materials and instructions required to create unique crafts including hut making, hand block printing, bead craft, Indian folk paintings and Panchatantra tales.
The exhibits also include wooden educational toys, wooden play toys, indoor games and exclusive summer wear collection comprising of stitched sarees, suit sets, skirts, tops, kurta pyjama sets, palazzos wraparounds, and jackets.
For the entertainment of children, the special attraction like puppet show, kite making, potter's wheel and paper cutting and more are also being arranged on June 6 and 9, for which the entry is free. One can visit the exhibition from 10 am to 7 pm.
The exhibition has been specially curated to reconnect children with the indigenous roots, traditions, and crafts of India in multifarious ways with the view to widen their imagination and creativity through various crafts activities while splurging in entertainment.
