Pamper your hair this winter season

Winters have almost arrived and although it is a relief from the excruciating summers this also means frizzy, dry and unmanageable hair. We need to go the extra mile and pamper our locks. Arpit Jain, Founder Auraine Botanicals have suggested five simple tips to keep your hair beautiful and healthy this winter season.

Wash less

Since cold air already dries out hair, there isn't a need to wash it every day. Washing your hair two to three times a week will prevent your hair from drying out too much. And always make sure to dry your hair before leaving the house. Not only because you will get cold, but the moisture in your hair combined with the cold air, will further damage your hair by making it more brittle and dry.
Keep your hair and scalp hydrated
Keeping hair and scalp hydrated is a must for healthy hair, if you're dehydrated inside, it will look on the outside too, make sure you drink sufficient amount of water to help keep your hair and scalp hydrated. Use moisture-enriched shampoo and conditioner to moisturise a dry scalp caused by winter weather and temperature fluctuations between indoors and outdoors.
Grab some vitamin C
The markets are loaded with vitamin C-rich produce during winters, such as citrus fruit, green leafy vegetables and more. Healthy eating habits are not only good for your overall wellbeing but it also helps in making your hair getting stronger. Vitamin C helps in boosting the body's production of collagen, a protein that helps in maintaining healthier hair and other connective tissues.
Conditioning
Hair needs regular moisturising during winters, and this makes conditioning a vital part of your hair care routine. One should religiously use deep conditioning packs and hair oils at least once in a week to maintain the softness and shine of your hair. It is also important that every hair wash ends with a conditioner. Use moisturizing shampoos and hair creams to make your hair frizz free.
Don't use a hairdryer
During winter, it is really tough to dry out hair. It is just because all the heat gets lost in the cold weather. The best way people find around is using a hairdryer to dry the hair. But the dryer can be really harmful to your hair and it will make them more dry and dull. Try your best to let it dry naturally, just wrap a cloth over your hair for some time till it soaks all water.
