Maestros to create magic through classical renditions

If you are willing to soak in the musical genius of stalwarts like Pandit Jasraj and Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia, head to the overnight concert titled 'Raag', on November 4.
Being organised at the Jawahar Kala Kendra- a world-class multi-disciplinary arts centre in Jaipur, the show will start at 9:30 pm and will last till 5 in the morning.
Speaking of the event, Pooja Sood, DG, Jawahar Kala Kendra, said, "Looking at the enthusiastic response of the audience at the first programme of 'Raag' in Jaipur last year, we are excited to once again host the concert featuring several world-renowned maestros of Indian classical music."
The concert will open with the rendition of Mohammad Aman at Kendra's amphitheater 'Madhyavarti'. This will be followed by a tabla recital by Pandita Anuradha Pal. The midnight will unfold with the flute recital of Padmavibhushan Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia. Sarangi recital by Ustad Liyaqat Ali Khan along with Rimpa Shiva on Tabla will be another interesting feature of the show. Noted vocalist Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande will render the 'Jasrangji Jugalbandi' with Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar. The musical magic will conclude with the performance of world-renowned vocalist Padmavibhushan Pandit Jasraj.
The first professional female tabla virtuoso in the world, Pandita Anuradha Pal has redefined boundaries with charm, creativity and youthful appeal whereas Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande, an outstanding vocalist of the famed "Jaipur-Atrauli" Khayal Gayaki tradition, represents the new generation of veterans. As a musician, Pandit Chaurasia is a rare combination of an innovator and a traditionalist. Apart from several Bollywood films where he has given music, his experimental album "Eternity" is a must listen. Pandit Jasraj belongs to the Mewati gharana. His vocal range extends across four and a half octaves and he is known for the precision of his diction, as well as his deep timbre.
