KIIT student tops IES 2018

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), deemed to be University, student Shashank Shekhar topped in Indian Engineering Services (IES) Examination 2018 conducted by UPSC.

Shashank is a pass out student of 2013 Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering. After completing his engineering degree from KIIT, he did his M. Tech from IIT, Kharagpur. In his reaction, Shashank said, "During the preparation of Engineering Services, I had no coaching. The only reason that I could achieve success in this examination is the study I did at KIIT."

"There is no point discussing whether IITians or NITians only get better marks, or if this engineering services is meant for them only. This perception is completely wrong because I have done my B.Tech from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar. Anyone who has patience, dedication, and talent can qualify," he added.

Congratulating Shashank for his success, Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT and KISS said, "The success of Shashank proves the quality of teaching and educational ambiance in KIIT. Professor Hrusikesh Mohanty, VC, KIIT Deemed University; Dr Sasmitarani Samanta, Registrar; faculties, students and staff also congratulated Shashank for his success.
