'I play a workaholic in Mismatch 2'

Model turned actress Rachel White is starring in the original web series Mismatch season 2 on Hoichoi. She plays the role of Aditi who is a dominating, bossy woman, in a relationship with a married man. White is in Kolkata, testing waters in Tollywood films as well as web shows. Excerpts from an interview with Nandini Guha:

Tell us about your role in Mismatch Season 2:

I play the role of Aditi, a workaholic woman who takes her office too seriously. This becomes an issue with her husband who dislikes her dominating and overbearing ways. They eventually find other partners and a lot of complications ensue. I like the "look" of Aditi in this series, as for the first time I wear corporate clothes on screen.

Tell us about your co stars in the series:

They are like buddies. Rajdeep and I have acted together before this. We have all acted in Season 1 too. Besides, the director keeps things light and easy on the sets, so we feel like we are having fun all the way when the shooting takes place. With Riya I've shot a few scenes since we do not have too many shots together.

What do you do when you are not shooting for the series?

I'm pretty much a home-bound person. I catch up with my reading, I watch a lot of content, and I also spend time modeling for national advertisements.

Are you looking for other web based roles too in Bengali?

I hope something interesting lands up. A lot of good work is happening here. Also, working in Kolkata feels like coming back home.

Are you still based in Mumbai?

Yes I live in Mumbai but I come to Kolkata whenever I find work here. An assignment like this takes a good one month's shooting to complete.
