Get your yearly dose of puppy therapy

Dogs jumping through a loop, playing dead on command, sniffing out bombs and pouncing on snatchers. See every cute trick at Pet Fed 2017 happening this weekend at NSIC Grounds, Okhla.

After looking at cute puppies and doggies all year, finally, the time has come when we can actually go and look at those puppy eyes, their tricks and furry wagging tails this weekend i.e., December 2-3. India's biggest pet festival – Pet Fed – is back this year in Delhi's NSIC Grounds, Okhla and this time, it's bigger than ever.
The year 2017 will count many firsts for the cutest gathering as Pet Fed 2017 will also happen in Mumbai's MMRDA Grounds, BKC on December 16 and 17.
The allegation that it will be the cutest weekend of the year with 3000+ pets (dog, cat, hamsters and guinea pigs included) should be enough to get you there, but the immense stature of activities planned is the extra nudge that will have you rushing to book the tickets now.
Completely different from the previous editions, the activity ring this year is lined with displays like the Security Dog Show, Good Dog Citizen Program and an Obedience Display. "In the security dog show, we are trying to show that dogs can be more than our companion. During the two days, you can witness multiple acts in which a dog is sniffing out a bomb and a whole scene enactment in which a dog pounces on a robber who snatches something from a lady," informed Akshay Gupta, Founder and CEO of Pet Fed.
If your pet has some cool tricks up their sleeves, enroll them for the Pet's Got Talent, happening for the first time in India and show off how well they can jump through a loop, play dead on command, count cards or any such cool trick. Your pet can even try their paw at the Fashion Show and Temptation Alley. Cash prizes are in store for these activities, apart from the whole act being in front of a live audience of 25,000+ pet lovers and a million people who will watch it from their homes on TV.
Set your dog's name in history, at Pet Fed 2017 powered by Dogsee, in Delhi and Mumbai, as they are attempting a Limca Book of World Record for the biggest dog gathering ever. The Off-Leash Play Area is a must drop by with your dogs for an Agility have-a-go, trampolines, ball pools and doggo slides. Do check out the Discover Dogs section as well, which is taken over by 11 dog breeds and mounted with uber cool facts.
Even though Akshay Gupta is the founder of this loved festival, he says that he never had a dog of his own but that doesn't stop him from loving and feeding the street dogs outside his house. He believes that
every dog is unique in their own way and should be loved the same way. That's why this year, he has taken a small little initiative to spread the love by giving free entry to those who bring their desi dogs to the event.
"During the whole event, you will see on different occasions, different people coming and sharing their stories with their Indie dogs. Rahul Ram, lead singer for the Indian Ocean will also be there with his Indie breed dog where he will be sharing with the whole crowd his story about how he adopted, and how his desi dog has helped him through life. So we are sharing these stories for people to understand that even our desi dogs are as good as pure breed dogs," said Akshay.
That's not all, if you've always wanted to get home a bundle of joy but haven't found your furry partner yet; Pet Fed is where you need to be to 'tie-the-knot' by adopting a pet.
And if you're more into being mastered than being the master yourself, then the Cat zone is where you should be. With more than 100 stalls, food and drinks, a Cat Zone and a separate VIP Lounge, there is something for everyone at this pet festival.
