An evening of reflections

A leading name within the fashion fraternity, Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna celebrated their 20 years in fashion over an evening titled "An Evening of Reflections". The show was held at the eminent Lodhi Hotel in New Delhi on February 14. This evening witnessed their first ever couture collection (AW18) encompassing intricately embellished ensembles for men and women that embodied the opulent and distinctive design aesthetic of the brand. The show was an extravaganza of 40 handcrafted ensembles against an ostentatious backdrop created with grand elements of blown glass and an impeccable metal installation created especially by Klove Studio.
An eminent list of attendees from the film and fashion industry, along with close friends and industrialists were present to show their love and support towards the designer duo. Some of them include Sunil Sethi, Robert Vadra, Varun Bahl, Gaurav Gupta, Kalyani Chawla, Anil and Cheena Vig, Fariha Ansari Javed, Priya and Charu Sechdev, Aroon Purie, Rajiv Makhni, Umesh Jivnani, Andrea and Pia Parro, Suneet Verma, Amit Vadera and Nainika Karan, and many more.
The inspiration for the collection named was drawn from Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna's archive pieces for this special line. Each ensemble created reflected the brand's journey so far. Accentuated glistening silver elements add a touch of elegance to every garment and amalgamate metallic hues along with modern edgy elements.
The colour pallet for this collection includes different hues of silver and metallic tones with a touch of crystalline blue. Enthrallingly feminine, luxurious fabrics have been used like frosted silks, finely grained tulles and crisp suiting organza's. Handcrafted techniques that amplify and highlight each detail of the garment have been implemented in the form of appliqué work, laser cutwork and hand beading. Swarovski crystals have been utilized in order to give this collection a sense of translucence.
