Celebrating the 132 years of Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, an event was held at the Chamber premises, recently. The event was graced by the presence of Keshari Nath Tripathi, Governor, West Bengal.

To mark the event, Gautam Bhattacharya, Chief Post Master General of West Bengal, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Ministry of Communications, Government of India, launched a commemorative postal envelope and stamp at the celebration.

Satyam Roychowdhury, President, of BNCCI, in his address emphasised that the journey for BNCCI, which was established on February 2, 1887, has been monumental and carries vast historical importance. And, this phenomenal journey was only possible because of the leaders of yesteryears whose contributions and vision have tremendously impacted the growth of business in the state.

Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, all along has been a Mecca for enterprises belonging to the MSME segment. Many start-ups and enterprises have gained out of business transactions, government and citizen linkages, and have developed through our very own Enterprise Development Institute.

Over the years, there have been a few industrial revolutions and changes in the techno-commercial arena and BNCCI has very successfully adapted to such transformations guiding its members to cope with the changes.

"We have yet more responsibilities of framing the future roadmap of Bengal's industrial scenario. We need to create opportunities for our multi-talented successors, once again making Bengal a vibrant state full of prospects and entrepreneurship," Roychowdhury further stated.
