Fans buy ticket for black ahead of KKR-Pune clash

Black marketeers were today having a field day on the eve of the much-anticipated game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Pune Warriors, touted as the 'mother of all IPL matches'.

With tickets already sold out following a huge demand, people were seen gathering at the Maidan area near Mohammadan Sporting Club and buying tickets five times higher than the actual price.

'I bought two Rs 300 price tickets paying Rs 3000. I just cannot miss out on the fun of being at the venue to support Dada (Warriors captain Sourav Ganguly),' Ankit Agarwal said.

He said tickets priced at Rs 400 are being sold at Rs 2,000 as the black marketeers were having a good time.

Despite a strong presence of police personnel, black marketeers, many of them middle-aged women, were selling the tickets at exorbitant prices.

People were using various classified websites or social groups to market tickets of the marquee IPL clash.

'Anyone willing to buy club house upper tier tickets for Pune match, contact me,'  Subhajit Saha posted in a KKR group on 'Facebook'.

There was a mad rush when the ticket counters opened on Tuesday at the Mohammedan Sporting Club as police had to resort to baton-charge as all the tickets, including the premium ones, were sold out within no time.

This is for the first time the Eden is witnessing such a rage after it was renovated for a reduced capacity of 65,000.
