Ex-MLA’s brother in net for attacking BSES officials

Brother of former MLA Rambir Shokeen has been arrested for allegedly attacking BSES officials in Nangloi, police said on Sunday.

Shokeen’s brother Jagdev was arrested on Saturday for allegedly attacking senior BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd officials – who were carrying out inspection in connection with a power theft at Kamruddin Nagar in Nangloi – along with his accomplices on Tuesday, police said.

The three officials were returning to <g data-gr-id="17">office</g> after meeting AAP MLA from Mundka  Sukhbir Singh Dalal and had stopped at Kamruddin Nagar to carry out the inspection.

The officials – Assistant Vice-President (Division Head Mundka) Yudh Veer Singh, Head Business (West) TR Bhatia and Assistant Vice-President (Cheat Division Nangloi and Mundka) Vikrant Seth  – were preparing for the inspection, when four men allegedly attacked them.

A case under various Sections of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against Shokeen’s brother at the Nangloi police station, police said, adding he has been sent to judicial custody.
