I was my own worst critic: Camilla Cabello on beauty

Los Angeles: Camila Cabello said there was a time she was her own "worst critic" and she would constantly reassure herself of being beautiful. The 20-year-old singer said when an individual becomes comfortable with their shortcomings their worldview shifts.

"It was hard at first, because I was my own worst critic. I ended up building a bubble and focusing on myself during that time. I would tell myself that I was beautiful and the more I said it, the more I believed it."
"Learning to be OK with the things you consider to be flaws – whether it's your acne, your weight or your hair – really makes a difference in how you view yourself," Cabello told J-14 magazine. The "Havana" singer said insecurity is something one should be wary of.
"I think when you're insecure and don't feel good about yourself, then that bad energy transmits outward and ends up bringing you down, so that's why it's important to find beauty within the things that you don't like. Once you do that, it changes everything," she said.
On the work front, the singer has announced a release date for her debut solo album: Simply entitled "Camila." The album is arriving on January 12.
In an Instagram post she wrote: "to my Camilizers…. my debut album is finally finished. Now i'm trying to steady my heartbeat!!!!!!! thank you for being so patient with me this year, I can't wait for you to hear what has been the soundtrack to the past year of my life… all of these songs have special memories behind them, and i'm not gonna lie, it feels emotional."
