Each 'Game of Thrones' season eight episode to run longer than 60 mins

Los Angeles: "Game of Thrones" director David Nutter has revealed that all six episodes in the upcoming season of the hit HBO show will have runtime of over an hour.

The first episode of the eighth and final installment of the epic fantasy series is directed by Nutter. He will also helm three other episodes.

The director dished the details in a Reddit AMA, IndieWire reported.

"Season 8 episodes will all I think be longer than 60 minutes. They'll be dancing around the bigger numbers, I know that for sure," Nutter said.

Last July, "GOT" sound designer Paula Fairfield had said that the eighth season could have feature-length episodes.

Nutter is famous for directing the third season episode "The Rains of Castamere", which featured the infamous Red Wedding.

He also won an Emmy for fifth season finale, "Mother's Mercy".
