Electronics store in South West Delhi broken into, looted

Amidst a spate of robberies reported from South West Delhi, a new case came to light where an electronics store was looted by four robbers in Bindapur, police said on Sunday.

The incident came to light when the owner of the electronics store was informed by his neighbours that the store had been broken into and robbed. When the owner, Kuldeep Gupta, entered the store, situated on the ground floor of his residence in Bindapur, he found that 70 mobile phones and 15 LCD screen televisions were stolen from the store.

“He reported the incident to us, after which a team was sent to the spot. We recorded his statement and took a stock of the items that were stolen. We have also gone through CCTV footages of the shop and have seen four people break into the store,” said a senior police official from South West District.

Police are using local informers and technical surveillance to track the accused. “We are still trying to establish their identity, they will soon be apprehended,” the official added.
