Efforts on to improve law & order in UP: CM

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav said that though the law and order situation in state was under control still efforts were on to improve it further.

‘Almost every locality in Delhi has police presence still crime is rampant there,’ he stated.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of UP-India Business summit, Yadav claimed that the law and order situation is conducive for investments in the state and some exaggerated comment by the media was the main problem. ‘The media reports an incident in a big way when any crime takes place but ignores when the state police does a good job or solves the crime,’ he added.

He also said that his government was more serious in setting up industrial units or business units in the state rather than going for MoUs.

Earlier, the CM said that his government was ready to welcome entrepreneurs particularly from US in the state to achieve the desired growth of the state so that the youths get employment. ‘The Samajwadi Party government in UP is open to business opportunities from anywhere as the state has huge potential considering trained labour, raw material and other infrastructure,’ he said.
