Youth, his two friends killed father, arrested

Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad police have arrested three persons in connection with the murder case of a 50-year-old man in Sahibabad area which took place earlier in the month. Cops said that the crime was committed by deceased's son who involved two of his other friends.

The incident occurred on the intervening night of October 6th and 7th. The deceased identified as Akhtar Ali, a native of Garima Garden area in Sahibabad, was found brutally injured with some blunt object at his house. He was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to injuries on October 10. Police arrested three persons, including the son of deceased, in connection with the incident.

According to police, the arrested persons have been identified as son of the deceased-Muzzammil, his two other friends- Sunder and Naeem khan, a natives of Sahibabad area.

Dr. Manish Kumar Mishra, Superintendent of Police (City), Ghaziabad said that the man was murdered by his son. "Upon interrogating the accused persons, they told police that the whole crime was plotted by Muzzammil, who is deceased Ali's son. He said that he along with his two accomplices killed his father over his bad habits of gambling and betting which was bothering him. Also the deceased had relations with multiple women" said Mishra adding that the deceased has lost all his property and money in gambling.

"A couple of days before the incident, an argument broke out between the deceased and his son over his gambling habits," the SP said.
