Yogi rejigs transfer policy of authorities to check graft

In the wake of ending corruption and bring transparency in the working of the three authorities of the district, Greater Noida, Noida and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authorities and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has decided to introduce transfer policy for these authorities.
This is for the first time that such a decision has been sought by the state government.
The decision came in the wake of the recent efforts put in by the MLA of Noida, Pankaj Kumar.
The decision will be followed same for the eight Industrial Development authorities in Uttar Pradesh, including famous Noida and Greater Noida.
The government will also combine all Industrial development authorities into Central Service pool.
"All these authorities will be merged into a central service pool. The transfers of the officers and employees will be done as per the policy. The move is going to bring transparency in the working of authorities and will help in eradicating corruption from the system," said Industry Minister Satish Mahana.
The decision shook the officials of the three authorities of the district and created a panic among them as many of them have been found involved in the businesses and other activities other than their job.
Some officials have also managed to collect number of properties and are making huge profits in terms of rents and other benefits.
Such officials are expected to get affected at large once the decision start getting implemented.
There has been increase in corruption in these authorities as the employees used to work in the same industrial development authority since they had joined service.
According to the joint decision, the shifting of employees to other authorities is likely to bring the corruption level down. The decision will not only focus the permanent employees but temporary as well.
"Those employees who do not want to be part of this service pool can go for a golden hand shake. They will be given 3 month's salary and other emoluments as per the law. For the temporary employees they will get one month pay," said a government's spokesperson.
