Woman kidnapped, assaulted in moving car

NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped and assaulted grievously inside a moving car allegedly with a glass bottle by a man at Sarai Kale Khan on Friday evening, Delhi Police said on Saturday.

They said woman claimed she was later thrown out of the car near UP Gate by the attacker, who immediately fled after the incident.

A case at Sunlight Colony police station and the woman's statement has been recorded.

She told cops the accused pulled her into the car from near IP Park, tried to harass her and assaulted her with glass bottle, injuring her. "Appropriate sections have been added to the FIR," DCP (South East) Chinmoy Biswal said.
