Woman conspired with brother-in-law to kill husband

New Delhi: The Delhi police has arrested a woman for conspiring with her brother in law to kill her husband who was posing a threat to their illicit relationship. The body was found between Geeta colony flyover and Shanti Van red light under the jurisdiction of Daryaganj in Central Delhi.

The dead body was found in decomposed condition on August 28. Police teams reached the spot and the deceased was identified with the help of Adhar card in his pocket. He was a resident of Hathras, UP. On 24 August post-mortem of deceased was conducted in which doctor opined the cause of death due to "asphyxia, cops registered a murder case.

During the investigation, the call details of the mobile phone recovered from the deceased were obtained and analyzed in which one mobile number was zeroed in that turned out to be his wife's number. She disclosed that on the day of the incident, her husband quarrelled with her and went to the native place Hathras, UP. Local enquiries were also made in which it was revealed that one person used to visit the house of deceased in his absence. Cops later zeroed in on the brother of the deceased after local inquiry suggested some relationship between the victim's wife and her brother in law.

The duo when interrogated confessed to their crime and revealed the plot. Both the victim's wife and his brother took the victim to an abandoned place near Shanti Van Red Light where the victim's brother and his wife strangulated him with a 'gamchha' and hit him with a big stone. Both the accused are labourers and have been arrested.
