Vijender Gupta alleges poor management in Azadpur market
leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta on Monday demanded that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal take immediate remedial steps to bring order to the chaotic Azadpur fruits and vegetable wholesale market.
Gupta took part in a dharna at the mandi against corruption and anarchy prevalent in the market. Joined by thousands of demonstrators, he said that due to non-inclusion of elected representatives in the market committee, the bureaucracy has become irresponsible and whimsical, leading to mismanagement.
He demanded that elected representatives be included in the market committee, adding that the present officials responsible for prevailing mess must be transferred.
