Verbal duel: Gym trainer 'pushed' from first floor by another colleague, dies

Gurugram: A verbal duel between the two gym trainers turned violent on Thursday leading to the death of one of the persons involved in the scuffle. The deceased has been identified as Anil Tanwar. The other gymnasium professional identified as Praveen Kumar also received injuries in the scuffle and is presently receiving a medical treatment. There are claims that he also fell from the balcony.

The Gurugram police are waiting for Praveen to recover so that charges can be framed against him to ascertain that whether it was an accidental death or a deliberate murder. Meanwhile, the law enforcement officials have begun their investigation by retrieving the CCTV images that may provide them more clarity regarding the case.

According to the police, the tiff between two gym trainers began at around 11 pm on Wednesday night. The issue festered along and rather than finding a solution, the two came to blows with each other. The two, in the fit of rage, then went to the balcony of the first floor where Anil ultimately lost his life after falling from the balcony of the first floor. His body has now been sent for postmortem. Anil, who was 27-year-old, hailed from Chattarpur in South Delhi while his alleged murderer belongs to Akhlimpur village in Gurugram.

"As of now, it will be too premature for us to come to a definite conclusion. We have begun the investigations and will be able to solve this case at the earliest," said a senior police official from Gurugram police. Incidents of differences in the workplace resulting in the murderous attempts is not a new phenomenon in Gurugram. This year also various incidents of violence have been reported between the individuals working in a professional atmosphere.

This is the second such incident within this month where two professional have got into a violent tiff with each other and ultimately attempted to kill each other. Earlier in the month, two bouncers who were employed in the real estate firm fought with each other regarding an issue. It ultimately resulted in one of the employees firing at his professional colleague. Even though there was no casualty the bullet pierced through the victim's body causing him grievous injuries.

In June this year enraged at being terminated from service, a man along with his accomplice opened fire and injured the Gurugram-based head of human resource wing of a Japanese company.
