Unauthorised rehabilitation clinic busted in Badshahpur
Gurugram: The Department of Food and Drugs Administration has busted an illegal drug rehabilitation clinic functioning without a license in Badshahpur during a raid, from where at least seven people have been rescued.
Officials on Wednesday said they found that the rehabilitation clinic, 'God's Grace', was providing fake and spurious medicines to its patients.
Efforts are on to nab the owner of the clinic, who is on the run. All seven rescued patients have been admitted to a hospital where their health condition is being monitored.
All the medicines that were provided to them have also been seized, officials said.
"The raid was carried out after we got a tip-off that there was a fake drug rehabilitation centre functioning in Gurugram. We then coordinated with the district police and conducted a raid. Even though we have been successful, our the task is not over. We suspect there are many more fake clinics functioning in and around the city," said an official from the Food and Drugs Administration Department
A reply to recent RTI query filed by activist Mohit Khatana revealed that there are over 224 private clinics being operated by quacks all across Gurugram.
