Two most wanted criminals nabbed

NEW DELHI: Two most wanted fugitives of Sonu Daryapur gang named Vijay and Sanjay were arrested by Special cell of Delhi Police on Saturday. Cops said that two accused had been running the gang after the arrest of Sonu Daryapur. Wanted in several heinous cases including murder of a police personnel and under MCOC Act, the outlaws were carrying Rs 2 Lakh as bounty on their head.

Information was received by Special Cell that Vijay Sehrawat alias Lamba and Sanjay Lakra alias Sanjay Mundka along with their associates were plotting a gruesome crime in Delhi and were allegedly in possession of illegal weapons. On Friday, specific information was received that both the gangsters will be assembling at Pochanpur area around 10.30 pm. On basis of the revelation about the gangsters' gathering at Pochanpur, a trap was laid at Najafgarh drain, Chawla Nala Road area of Sector 23 Dwarka, Delhi. Subsequently, both were intercepted and arrested by the Special Cell. The i10 car which was stolen from Police Station Badarpur, was also seized.

"One .38 bore English Revolver Webley, 10 cartridges of .38 bore were recovered from the accused person Vijay Sehrawat @ Lamba. Whereas, one loaded .32 bore pistol with 8 cartridges was recovered from Sanjay Lakda @ Sanjay Mundka. On search of the stolen i10 car, one .32 loaded pistol having 5 live rounds and 107 live rounds of .32 bore cartridges were also recovered," said DCP Special Cell PS Kushwah.

Vijay Sehrawat is unmarried and used to go to Akhara for exercising and wrestling and after his meetings with Sonu Daryapur he went astray indulging and committing several crimes.
