Two held for selling fake T-shirts and herbal medicine

Noida: Noida Sector 24 police arrested two brothers for allegedly committing an online fraud using TikTok videos. Cops said that the accused lure people on pretext of branded T-shirts but deliver low quality products once the order is placed. According to police, the arrested accused persons have been identified as Parul Garg and Vipin Garg, both natives of district Hisar in Haryana.

Rajeev Kumar Singh, Circle Officer-II, Noida said that the accused persons would claim to sell a pack to three T-shirts of Koutons company brand for Rs 999 and had used tiktok and Facebook to promote their products.

"The accused persons would lure people on the name of big brands but once the order is placed, they would parcel low-quality t-shirts to the customers. They would shoot videos of their products and promote them using Tiktok and Facebook. They had been operating an office in sector 11 area of Noida under the name of Creative Crafts. A raid was conducted at their godown in sector 7 area when police came to know that they were also illegally selling herbal weight loss medicines and other physical strength enhancing drugs," said Singh.

"During raid, around 1.5 lakh packed T-shirts, 15,000 unpacked shirts, drugs and other medicines from the godown seized. The godown has also been seized while the drug samples are being tested," added Singh.
